Maybe we all join the Hive

It might be the best new social media yet

I’ve always loved Twitter. It’s my social media of choice and I hope it survives the take over by the apartheid emerald-heir dickhead. It might survive, and it might even be more or less the same. Or it might crash and burn or turn into the new 4 Chan, and fuck all that.

Regardless, things are in a state of flux right now and lots of people are turning to other social media sites. Mastodon looked promising for a while, but honestly, it’s the social media equivalent of that one nerdy friend who’s always trying to get everyone to install Linux on their PCs. Others have come and gone, but a new one called Hive looks really promising.

It’s currently only in app form, so there’s no desktop version yet, but it’s in development, apparently.

The thing just feels good. It’s a bit like Twitter but without the character limit. It’s a bit like Instagram, but with text too. It just feels fun and cool. And it has a wicked font, which I value.

It’s new and has hiccups right now, but I reckon it could be something. So check it out.
